2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car to Remain Unchanged

When you've got something good, it doesn't make much sense to change it. At least, that's what Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA) is saying when it comes to the 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Race Car. That may come as a surprise since Porsche has only just released the all-new Porsche 911, but a new Cup car takes a bit longer to develop.

The current version is based on Porsche type 997, and according to PMNA President, Jens Walther, it will...

Seven Generations Of The Porsche 911

On February 23, Prestige Porsche had a party to celebrate the launch of the all new Porsche 911. An upcoming blog post will detail the event with text, photos and video. For now, here is a little history on the world's most iconic sports car, the Porsche 911.

The images below were printed at 20 X 30 inches and placed on easels next to a 911 of the corresponding generation...

That, ladies and gentlemen, is a brand new 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S taking a lap on Lake Georgetown in Georgetown, CO. That's right, a 991 taking laps on a solid 22 inches of frozen, snow covered, scream inducing H20.

We took the 991 up to the lake for our first annual Winter Driving Event on February 18th. A number of lucky customers got to take the Carrera out for a spin (literally) and...

- J.D. Power and Associates reports that Porsche is the top European brand for overall vehicle dependability.

"The Macan combines all sports car characteristics with the benefits of a SUV and...

The 'Everyday Magic' of the Porsche 911

People don't often turn to a rear-engine sports car when they're looking for a practical family car. That doesn't mean that there's no such car, though. As a matter of fact, for years, people have turned to the Porsche 911 to fulfill both their desire for a fun-to-drive coupe and their practical side. That is to say, it's the embodiment of "Everyday Magic."1

As the debut of the new...

With models ranging from the base V6 Cayenne to the Cayenne S Hybrid to the powerful Cayenne Turbo, discerning SUV drivers pick up the all-wheel drive Cayenne to...

The 991 hits the street, but the 997 still dominates the track.

After its sweeping victory at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, Porsche Motorsport North America has announced that the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car will remain virtually unchanged through the 2013 season. The current Cup car, based on the venerable 997 model, took all three of the top spots at Daytona in January.

Not coincidentally, at the same time as the Porsche Motorsport...
